The new $10 million reconstruction project of Military Avenue between Biemeret and Dousman Streets is underway. A web site devoted to project provides information and updates for city residents. ZippinPippin Groundbreaking Zippin Pippin Groundbreaking
Groundbreaking officially started the construction of the new roller coaster at Bay Beach Amusement Park. Footings for the coaster are being put in with construction of the coaster to begin in the next few months. Mayor Schmitt thanked the Fundraising Committee members and reminded people of the opportunities available to contribute to the building of the coaster. After 1 September 2010, all Wisconsin residents must abide by the Wisconsin Electronics Recycling Law. Wisconsin residents are prohibited from disposing of specified electronics in landfills or incinerators. While a fee may still be imposed by collectors or recyclers for the recycling of the electronic device, this law was designed to make recycling easier and more convenient statewide.
