Motion to call meeting to order by S Boehlen at 6:35pm

 

Secretaries Report

                Motion to accept the minutes by C Knepper and second by S Hyer

 

Treasurers Financial Report

                P Novotny was not in attendance so there was nothing to report.

 

New business:

MNLC Fundraising: Motion was made by L Boehlen to donate $100 per year for 3 years from the Neighborhood Association Operating Grant to the MNLC. 2nd by S Hyer
voted on and motion carried with a 4-0 vote.

 

Mayor’s Walk and Talk: September 24th 5:30pm at the Three Corners Sign

Also invited is Chief Arts, Cheryl, CSI’s, Fire chief, and the new Crime prevention leader.

 

Annual Meeting: Thursday October 8th 6:30pm to 8:00pm

We discussed different options on what to server, suggestions were: Jakes pizza, and spaghetti dinner as a back up, and cookies. Also there was the suggestion to send out the flyers to let people know about the meeting in English and Spanish. We are looking to get a speaker from the Multi-Cultural center to come speak and to also have dancers from a Spanish dance company come and perform

 

Winterfest: December 13th at Nicolet School; Hours will be from 5pm to 8pm

S Hyer will donate the candy canes that she picked up on sale last year.

We were able to lock in the trolley rate for the same rate that we got it for last year $420 from Lamers. It was discussed to change the fee from $3pp & $10 per family to $4pp or $10 per family.

Pictures; last year we charged $3 per picture, but we may not be able to find the Polaroid film this year. S Boehlen suggested a photo printer that he found on Wal-Mart.com for $30

S Hyer suggested that we do door prizes like a bag of candy or school supplies for the kids.

We will be able to use the popcorn popper and have hot chocolate and cider as well as have the holiday movies to watch in the gym.

 

Old business:.

Mini Grants: Custom Street Signs: We were awarded $2875.00 to have the rest of the street signs changed over. Winterfest: We were awarded $540.00 for our annual event.

 

 

Open forum/Announcements: Reminder of the religious organization rezoning meeting on 8/19/09 @ 5:30pm 300 Elizabeth St. Also to start helping get the word out about the 2010 Census.
