Motion
to call meeting to order by S Boehlen and second by L Boehlen at 6:43pm
Motion to accept the minutes by

Motion to accept the treasurer’s
report by C Knepper and second by L Boehlen
Motion made by C Knepper and second by L Boehlen to
approve the payment of $306.00 + $141.12 for printing and mailing of the
newsletter in color and the food from Badger Wholesale and Woodmans for the
Donkey Basketball game.

Ellen Mommaerts made a suggestion that we look into using the St Norbert’s copy
center may be less expensive.
New
business:
Mini Grants:
Motion made by P Novotny second by H Wickman made to
approve the Neighborhood Branding proposal of: Neighborhood Branding: $700 was
approved for the mini grant, and S Boehlen made a suggestion to spend the money
on 24 T-Shirts ($325) 24 Caps ($313) and 50 Key Lights ($90) for an estimated
total of $728. The discussion was made to use the original set up with the
larger logo on the front in black with a white shirt. All approved motion passes.
Motion made by P Novotny and seconded by S Boehlen
to approve the Solar Illuminated address numbers: $500 was approved, so at $50
each to purchase 9 in total and have them available
for purchase or for contest giveaways. All
approved motion passed.
Motion made by P Novotny and seconded by H Wickman
made to approve the Paper Placemats for restaurants as advertisement. $500 was
approved for a total of 2940 placemats to be divided up amongst the 14 (?)
restaurants in our neighborhood. All
approved motion passed.
There
will be a neighborhood rummage sale going on May 21st thru the 23rd.
Parks
department approached Three Corners to give out popcorn again at the Wildlife
Sanctuary during the presentation for Kids Day.
Motion made by P Novotny and
seconded by H Wickman to provide free popcorn on Kids Day at the Wildlife Sanctuary
at a cost of no more than $25. All
approved motion passed
Community
Garden on University: Approved by Parks last week and with in the next few
weeks they will till up the land and start setting up planting.
Live
on Main will be every Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm at Whitney Park Every week from
June to August. Olde Main Inc are looking for Three
Corners to sell popcorn, hotdogs and hamburgers. The proposal is that we will
be selling the food and Olde Main Inc will collect the money. We will keep track
of the amount we sell and the money will be divided up the next day. S Boehlen
set up the estimated expense report to include projected profit. P Novotny
suggested that we match our prices to match what Leigh Park sells their items
for.
Motion made by L Boehlen and
seconded by P Novotny to approve the purchase of 80 hamburgers & buns
($60), 50 hotdogs and buns ($28), ketchup ($6.00), mustard ($5.00) and pickles
($5.00) at a total of $125.00. All
approved motion passed.
Old
business:
The general idea was that the
Donkey Basketball game was a success and that if we do play to do the event
again to do it next year then every other year. Also to have Cellcom or
Festival to sponsor the event to make sure we reach the requirements that will
now be in place for a minimum tickets sale, also having the event when the
weather is not as nice. The board has decided to take the chance and do the
event again, and to shoot for a date in January or February. The suggestion to have a theme for the show
may help as well, like the week before Lent and have Mardi Gras
party.
Motion made by S Boehlen and 2nd
by C Knepper to spend a max of $80 add more bark and replace the solar lights
for the sign. P Novotny will take care of that project. All approved motion
passed
The
sign is going to need to be re-painted. S Boehlen will look into what the
company associated with the city to find out what the cost would be and what it
would cover.
John
Lampkin and Tim Wickman will speak on crime & identity theft prevention,
dispatcher procedures and what information they need on the June 10th
meeting.
Open
forum/Announcements:
S
Boehlen announced to the board that the left over soda and odd sized hotdogs
will be sold at the rummage sale next weekend and all the profits will come
back to Three Corners Neighborhood Association.
