New business:

Mini Grants: The due date is being pushed back to spring. S. Boehlen would like everyone to bring in suggestions to the next meeting. The mini grants we know for sure that will be submitted will be for Winterfest, the custom calendars, and the street signs.

Summer Activities: S. Boehlen wanted to know what kind of ideas we wanted to consider for a summer activity. S. Hyer suggested ice cream social, cakewalk, or a cookie exchange. S. Boehlen also let everyone know about the plan the Parks Department has for the Neighborhood Games day. They are trying to gather information on what would be the best options to have it in May or September, to have one gathering place or more than one, things along those lines. S. Boehlen and L. Boehlen will be attending meetings with Parks and bring the information to the board as it becomes available.

Newsletter: S. Boehlen would like the next newsletter to be out by the end of April so that it will include all of the summer events can be listed.

Old business:

Street Signs: All the street signs excluding some of the bigger ones due to excessive wind are done. S. Boehlen and L. Boehlen were out on Tuesday morning taking pictures of the instillation on the Elizabeth Street and Main Street signs, L. Boehlen also wrote an article for the Green Bay Press Gazette that will be in Monday February 16, 2009 paper.

S. Boehlen is not sure why it is that both sides are not displayed, and he will check on that. He will also find out how much the total amount was he knows that the amount was under the $2000.00 amount that was awarded. He also stated that the payment will be taken care of directly through the Neighborhood Division and the city.

Winterfest: The general consensus was that we have a very nice crowd. Norma Teske from the Neighborhood Watch showed up and like what she saw very much. The one big thing that we need is more volunteers to help out. S. Boehlen wanted to know if anyone has any thoughts or ideas for next years. S. Hyer has a new idea for the craft corner that will not be as messy. She purchased candy canes, pipe cleaners and will use them to make reindeer ornaments to hang on the tree. She also suggested that we talk to the school and find students that need community service hours and use them as volunteers.

Calendars: S. Boehlen was pleased with how people liked then, but was disappointed there was no response to the Neighborhood Awareness flyer that went out with them in the packet. H. Wickman gave some out to the ArtGarage, Flowerama, BP gas station, and the Bullfrogs, and also got positive feedback. The general consensuses was that we would like to do this again next year, and are excited for the pictures to be of events going on in the neighborhood.

Sledding Day at Triangle Park: Not enough interest, so the event was canceled.

Green Bay Gambler’s Neighborhood Night:  Not enough interest, so event was canceled.

By-Laws, Article I, II, III, IV, and V: The board went through the first 5 sections and made amendments. Motion was made by H. Wickman and seconded by S. Hyer, motion was carried 6 to 0 vote.

Open forum/Announcements:

H. Wickman got 6 tickets to the Neville Museum and would like for us all to go together, it was discussed that since we normally don’t have a meeting in July take that time and go then.

Motion to adjourn meeting by L. Boehlen and second by C. Knepper at 8:14 pm
