Mission

The East Shore Drive Neighborhood Association seeks to promote the quality of life of area residents by preserving and enhancing the natural and protected environments of the Bay Shore and Wildlife Sanctuary; by maintaining and improving parkland; by monitoring streets and roads for safety and convenient residential and recreational use; and by other activities that contribute to healthy and congenial neighborhood life. The Association will serve as a forum to receive information and ideas, discuss and debate issues of common interest, and represent to appropriate government bodies the views and concerns of neighborhood residents.

Neighborhood SignNeighborhood Sign
We have been receiving tons of compliments on our neighborhood sign and the beautiful flowerbed surrounding it from neighbors and area residents driving down East Shore Drive. Thanks go to past board members Sherry Pappas, Linda Cummings, Sandy Stokes, and Dan Piton for their efforts. Thanks also, to the many ESD residents who provided feedback that helped shape a truly unique sign that represents our neighborhood.

Thanks to Marko Guillen for his help in establishing the flower bed and for donating the decorative stones. Thanks too, to Sherry Pappas for donating plants from her garden and the heart-shaped hanger, for her expert advice in picking out the flowers we purchased, and for helping get it all planted. Bulbs were also planted this fall, so look for a colorful display this spring.

I’d like to thank the MNLC for funding the project and the City’s Neighborhood Division for their patience and support throughout the process. Our second sign will be installed on the East end of ESD once the approval process is complete.
