Fred Petry House

Year Built:       c1893
Style:   Queen Anne
Residential Rehabilitation
The Petry House is an excellent example of a neglected property strikingly transformed into an architectural gem. For decades it sat unadorned at the corner of E. Walnut Street and Jackson Street, painted a drab white and brown. Current owner, Tristen Zimmerman has spent many months restoring this home into what is now Green Bay’s own “Painted Lady.”

802 E. Walnut

The Wisconsin Historical Society notes the home is: “An excellent, largely original example with polygonal tower housing stairwell on the north facing corner of the main facade. The third story of the tower is sided in fishscale pattern wood shingles, has single lite oval windows and is topped by a pavillion roof.”

Note:  Listed as Record #36889 on the Wisconsin Architecture & History Inventory
