Former Fort Howard Buildings Site - NE corner of N. Chestnut Avenue & Kellogg Street
Prior to being moved to Heritage Hill State Park in 1975, several historic buildings from Fort Howard were grouped together at the corner of N. Chestnut Ave. and Kellogg Street. |

The buildings included the Ward Building, Hospital and Scullery, which sat at this site for many decades after being moved from the original site approximately two blocks east. A weathered stone marker is all that remains at this location. |

Note: The Fort Howard Hospital is listed as Record #27004 ; the Ward Building is #1781; the Kitchen is listed as Record #47314 with the Wisconsin Historical Society. |
