New Franken Barn Fire

On Friday, June 11 at 09:37 the New Franken Fire Department (NFD) was dispatched for a barn fire in the town of Scott. The page stated that there were still animals in the barn. While en route, a working still was requested which brought 2 additional engines, 4 additional tenders, 2 chief officers, and County Rescue. A special request for a Luxemburg ladder truck was also made. About 30 minutes later a box alarm level on card 1512 was struck, which brought 3 additional engines, 2 tenders and 2 chief officers. They also special requested 1 tender from Algoma fire and 1 tender from BUG fire. There was a total of 11 tenders, 7 engines, 2 support, 1 ladder truck and 4 chief officers.
There were 3 fill sites in operation. There was no animals lost in the fire. There was no injuries to any firefighters or public. Firefighters were on the scene for over 13 hours and State Hwy. 57 was closed for a period of time.
