Garage Structure Fire
On Sunday the 14th around 2338 hours, the De Pere Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in a single story frame duplex located at 1610 Suburban in De Pere. Still alarm dispatch info was smoke filling the duplex, smoke alarms sounding and possible fire in the garage. Initial engine E121 on scene and reported moderate smoke in the south side duplex with occupants evacuated. North side occupants were still inside and were alerted by E121 crew. E121 entered and found fire in the garage. Most of the fire was in the attic. MABAS Box 1-21 was called bringing Ashwaubenon E311, and Chief 390 to the scene for RIT, Bellevue E511 and a County Rescue Ambulance moved into De Pere Station 1. The fire was quickly extinguished with one line. Mutual aid crews were released within 30 minutes. No injuries. Loss was estimated at 35,000 to structure and contents. The cause was accidental after investigation.
