Welcome to Olde North Neighborhood Association Online!
The Northeast side of Green Bay is home to the first paper mill on the East River, Hoberg Paper Mill, started in 1895, later changed to Charmin, and now known as Proctor and Gamble. Northern Paper Mill also got its beginning on the Fox River, becoming James River, Fort James, and now Georgia Pacific.
A large Belgian settlement, the paper industry brought many factory workers to the neighborhood. In the 1950's many friendly, family owned grocery stores made shopping easy for residents.
We are a diverse neighborhood with tree lined streets, sidewalks, and older homes with large yards.
Bay View, Brisk, Eastman, and Farlin Parks provide outdoor recreation for the neighborhood children.
The majority of students attend Nicolet Elementary, Washington Middle, and East High Schools.
Home to the Boys and Girls Club, four churches, and two adult care facilities. Access is easy to Joannes Water Park, Bay Beach Amusement Park, Wild Life Sanctuary, and bus routes to downtown, shopping malls, the library and museum.
