Block Captains
Many established neighborhood associations rely on a "Block Captain" program to help keep the lines of coummunication open between residents and the association board.
Block Captains are responsible for communicating with their block by distributing the quarterly newsletters and collecting contact information from each household so they can pass on emails and announcements from the board.
These lists are used solely for communicating neighborhood information. No personal contact information is sold or shared.
Not a neighborhood watch
Block Captains are not the same as the Neighborhood Watch Program, but they can easily go hand in hand. If you have thought about starting a Neighborhood Watch group please consider becoming a Block Captain. Getting to know all the neighbors on your block is a good first step in exploring that possibility too!
