2010 General Membership Meeting

A general membership meeting was held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. at the Brown County Extension Office, 1150 Bellevue Street.  It was a snowy, blustery night but approximately 25 brave souls attended the meeting.

Mayor Schmitt kicked off the meeting discussing the quest for a roller coaster for Bay Beach, a citywide program where homeowners may apply for a $100 rebate on an energy audit, single stream recycling, reduction in the violent crime rates, Military Avenue reconstruction, the Kroc Center and the VA Center.

The guest speaker was Tim Meves, Housing/Zoning Inspector for the City of Green Bay.  Tim explained his role as an inspector and fielded questions regarding parking requirements, exterior building maintenance, litter, proper trash storage, unlicensed/junk vehicle storage, etc.

Fourteen door prizes were also distributed.  They included a $20 Kwik Trip gift card, City of Green Bay monopoly game, homemade tray of cookies, two cheese and cracker gift bags and Census 2010 items (including shirts, water bottles, a cap and a tote bag).
