National Night Out

The association held its first National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at East River Van Beaver Park.  The event was attended by approximately 75 people.   National Night Out, which is a unique safety and community event, is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and this was its 26th annual year.

Officer Schilt Officer Brian Schilt of the Green Bay Police Department was the guest reader.  He read three books to the children regarding safety and what it means to be a good neighbor.  Each child received a copy of one of the books courtesy of the neighborhood association.
