Elections are the cornerstone of Democracy, and it is the obective of the Clerk’s Office and the over 240 Election Officials running the day-to-day elections to ensure that free, fair, safe, and accurate elections take place. To help promote Democracy, this website is desgined to provide you with information to run for office, cast a vote, or become a part of the election process as an official Election Inspector. Green Bay residents may register to vote at the City Clerk's Office during regular business hours, except the day before an election and Election Day, or by mail using the voter resistration application form. Please read the instructions carefully. On Election Day, you may register to vote at your polling place. Be sure to bring proof of residence. You will be asked for your Wisconsin driver's license number, State ID number, or if not issued, the last four digits of your social security number. See a list of acceptable ID's>>
Polling Places are open on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
If you are unable to get to your polling location on Election Day, you can vote at the City of Green Bay Clerk/Treasurer's Office any time between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. during the two weeks prior to Election Day. On the Friday before an election, the Clerk's Office will remain open until 5:00 p.m. for absentee voting. Additionally, you may obtain a ballot in the mail by completing the Voter Absentee Ballot Request Form. This request has to be made by 5:00 p.m. the Thursday before Election Day (for military request by 5:00 p.m. the Friday before Election Day). Deadline for Absentee Ballots in person at the Clerk's Office by 5:00 p.m. the Friday before Election Day.
