Funding Information

On June 20, 2006, the Common Council made changes to the allocation process for both the CDBG and HOME Programs.  Due to recent cuts to both federal grant programs, the RDA examine the way funding was allocated.  The new allocation process includes refocusing funding into specific geographic areas and considerable changes to the acceptance of proposals from community groups.  Starting with the 2007 grant cycle, the Redevelopment Authority will no longer be accepting unsolicited grant applications for the CDBG or HOME Programs.  Instead, staff will work with other City departments to determine community needs and priorities for funding.  Requests for Proposals (RFP) will then be available to community groups for application.

Priorities for CDBG and HOME remain the same in that the City hopes to improve the quality of life in our low- and moderate-income areas.  Please check the website frequently for updates on RFP availability and upcoming projects.
