Electrician

Duties include installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining traffic signals, electrical, telemetry, lighting, data and telephone equipment and associated wiring for all City-owned traffic signals, lighting, buildings and equipment. Electricians remain in on-call rotation for emergency repairs. While on call, Electrician must remain within the Green Bay metro area.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must have a valid Journeyman Electrician Certification or ability to obtain one within one year of employment. If hired as an Apprentice, must immediately enroll in State approved electrician apprenticeship program and successfully complete program in shortest time period possible.
  3. Minimum of one year electrical related experience.
  4. Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

A combination of equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.

Work schedule: Monday -Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., plus on-call rotation (40 hours/week).

Salary:  $27.43 per hour with an excellent benefits package.

Residency:  Residency within the Green Bay corporate City limits will be required within one year of hire.
