82 degrees and lots of sun provided a perfect day for the 8th Annual Kids Day in Green Bay! Lunch in the Park with the Mayor drew over 1600 people and the entertainment included the Mayor arriving in a fire truck with sirens soundings, inflatable's for kids to enjoy, balloon art, games music with Randy Peterson, and four Green Bay Packers players — wide receiver Shawn Gore, fullback Quinn Porter, offensive lineman Marshall Newhouse and tight end Andrew Quarless signed autographs for the kids. U.S. Olympic curling team member Richard Maskel also was at the luncheon.

The Green Bay Pools were open for kids to cool off and the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary offered educational programs on animals ending with the Mayor releasing rehabilitated animals back to their natural habitat.

Bay Beach Amusement Park was full of families having fun at the park during the day and in the evening families enjoyed either a day at the ball park or a night of music with the City Band.

Many more activities ensued throughout the day and children will look forward to next years Kids Day at the CityDeck and the various City owned facilities throughout the City. If you missed this year, mark your calendar for June 25, 2011!!
