C. Renier-Wigg went through the list of properties, gave a brief description of each property, and discussed potential reuses of the land after removal.

Both 1031 N. Webster Avenue and 1216 S. Broadway are part of redevelopment areas where the usage would change, and both properties should be land-banked for future industrial or commercial use when assembled with other parcels.

The property at 1122 Shawano Avenue had been submitted by Ald. Wery in prior years.  The owner had not been willing to sell it at a reasonable price and is now willing to sell at the assessed value.  It clearly was a business at one time converted into four units, and after the house is cleared, this lot would be sold for single-family owner occupancy.

Another property submitted multiple times is 1589 Proper Street.  It is a small house on a slab built farther back than the rest of the properties on the block.  In the past, the owner was not willing to sell the property at a reasonable price and is now willing to sell it for the assessed value.  This house would be removed, and a new, larger single-family home would be constructed on the site with driveway access off of the alley.

The two parcels on 1070 Bader Street and 234 Deschane Place have multifamily structures, but both are close to or above the $200,000 price range.  After discussion by the Committee members, the general consensus was that these were too costly and would drain the neighborhood enhancement fund resources too quickly if purchased.  The Committee members were not in favor of purchasing these properties because of the high price tag.

A motion was made by D. Dallich, seconded by J. Blumreich, to proceed with purchasing 1031 N. Webster, 1122 Shawano, 1216 S. Broadway, and 1589 Proper Street.  Motion carried.

         Meeting adjourned.
