4. Request
by the Fire Chief to replace one battalion chief vehicle that was
damaged in an accident and to use contingency money as the
funding source.
Chief
Jeff Roemer explained that one of the battalion chief’s vehicles was involved
in an accident and needs to be replaced.
The other party involved was completely at fault and did not have
insurance. The City’s insurance covered
approximately $8,000, so the amount required is $25,800. The Fire Department bought the damaged
vehicle back for $800 and will make the appropriate repairs and keep it as a
second line vehicle.
A
motion was made by Ald. Theisen, seconded by Ald. Deneys, and carried to approve the request by the Fire
Chief to replace one battalion chief vehicle that was damaged in an accident
and to use contingency money in the amount of $25,800 as the funding source.
5. Report
of the Purchasing Agent:
City
Clerk Chad Weininger handed out the 2009 Official Newspaper Bid comparison to
the members. He explained that the cost
of line ads has come down slightly from 2008, and the Press Gazette is
currently at 100% the amount they can charge according to State statute and the
Department of Administration. The
current budget of $57,000 set aside for such an expense should cover this.
A
motion was made by Ald. Theisen, seconded by Ald. Deneys, and carried to approve the Green Bay Press Gazette
as the official newspaper for legal notices.
A
motion was made by Ald. Theisen, seconded by Ald. Deneys, and carried to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
