Hooray, Hooray - Fall and winter are on their way!
Although the warm months in the our City parks are coming to a close, don't go into hibernation. The fall and winter days, just around the corner, will still provide many opportunities for fun and activity! Here in the Parks Department we enjoy the outdoors too! This time of year you may see us around town winterizing many of our facilities, as we start the planning process for the following spring and summer recreation and projects. As the leaves start to change and days are cooler, our trail systems come alive with runners, bikers and walkers. As the snow starts to fly, the Parks Department begins to build the ice rinks for figure skating and hockey. Many of our trails also cater to cross country skiing, but if you prefer downhill, be sure to check out Triangle Hill, your local ski and tubing destination!
The days are already getting shorter, but here in the Parks Department, we don't want you turning into a bear this winter! Put on your jackets, coats, and hats! Lace up your running shoes or boots! Get out there and take advantage of the seasonal weather!
