| Throughout the summer season, each playground site will participate in both city-wide events and in-park special events. Below is all the information needed for what is happening this summer! | |
| Track & Novelty Meet Thursday, June 23, 11:00 am at West High Stadium |
|
This is the first city-wide event that kicks off the summer season! This event is open to all skill levels with age divisions of 9 and under, 10-12, 13-14, and 15-18. Events include: the 50 or 100 meter dash, cross country run, 3 legged or sack race, running or standing long jump, frisbee or softball throw, tug of war, and a soccer drop kick. Participants can sign up at their individual park or the day of the event at West High. |

| Wildlife Sanctuary Day | |

Both east and west side parks will have an opportunity to tour the Wildlife Sanctuary with their Parkees and friends! During the tour participants will experience a live animal program, take a hike through the trails and receive a free bag of corn to feed the geese and ducks! |

This event is open to all skill levels with age divisions of 9 & under, 10-12, 13-14 and 15-18. Events include: 4 square, ping-pong, chess, checkers, tetherball, bean bags, badminton, sand sculpture, basketball free throw and 3 on 3 basketball. |

Soccer, kickball and cageball will be featured at this year's Tournament! Teams will be divided by age divisions of 9 & under, 10-12, 13-14 and 15-18. The more participants from a certain park, the better the chances of bringing home the title! |
| Talent Show Tuesday, July 26, 6:00 p.m. at Bay Beach Amusement Park |

ERVB Park will feature singers, dancers, skits, musicians and other talents from local park participants. Preliminary talent shows will be held July 13 & 14 at local parks where the top acts will be chosen to perform at our 62nd annual "Music through the Decades" talent show. |

| Kiddie Karnival Parade | |

See 36 decorated floats from each supervised playground ride the streets from East High School to Leicht Park. Each float will be creatively decorated to this years theme with walking and wheel units marching down the street! The parade route starts at Joannes Park (Walnut and Baird) west on Walnut to Museum Place, north on Museum Place to Leicht Park. |
| Kiddie Karnival | |

| This will be the the final big event of the summer! The Kiddie Karnival will feature 36 karnival booths with various games, activities and raffles with chances to win great prizes. Tickets are 4¢ each with the number of tickets varying per game. | |

Park Special Events will be held at each of our supervised playground sites throughout the city. Each special event will consist of a different theme. Special events include costumes and events based off the specific theme for the week. |
