Founded in 1997 as one of Green Bay’s original neighborhood associations, Seymour Park is located on Green Bay's near west side, bounded by Mason Street, the Fox River, Shawano Avenue, the Wisconsin Central Railroad.
We have had many accomplishments in the past, including the addition of a Splash Pad and decorative lighting in our park for beautification and safety. We also had our park shelter brightly painted.
We continue being pro-active by removing undesirable properties in the neighborhood while also adding green space. Additionally, we work closely with the Community Police to keep the neighborhood safe, and to monitor nuisance properties.
Our neighborhood sign located on the corner of Walnut & S. Oakland Ave. is maintained by a Master Gardner, and is a beacon welcoming people to the area.
We welcome any ideas and suggestions you have to improve and beautify our neighborhood. Currently we meet quarterly on a rotation of: January, April, July, and October. Our meetings are held at 6:00PM in The First Presbyterian Church on 200 S. Ashland Avenue.
Additionally, our goal is to remain in contact with all of our neighborhood residents outside of meetings. We intend on accomplishing this through regular newsletters and our Google website. Please sign up there for e-mail updates.
